What power car charger? What is the route of the cable?

More than likely your looking at 6mm2 SWA, to allow for up to 6.6KW / 32A charger. But to check you would need to calculate the voltage drop is within spec.

When you say car charger do you mean an electric vehicle?

I'm guessing here but if it's EV wont ESB have to connect the new point in the garden & will they connect without a cert from a REC?

I din't know the answer myself but I thought something to think about before any work starts
