Med1 dietician fees

Can anyone shed any light on whether dietician fees can be claimed back on the Med1? I don’t see specific mention of it on the revenue site but a number of dieticians seem to advertise that the fees are eligible for tax relief. Have quite a few receipts for consults last year and wondering whether I can include them in the claim?

    Start at the source.

To qualify for relief your health care must be carried out or advised by a registered practitioner. A practitioner must be on either:

the register established under section 43 of the Medical Practitioners Act 2007.

the register established under section 26 of the Dentists' Act 1985.

So were you referred to a dietitian by a practitioner as defined above or are dietitians practitioners under the above definitions?
