was watching a doc on Live Aid and was wondering to myself as of 2018 i wonder what an All Irish version of it would be like and what the lineup would be. Heres my guess

    Lineup
    12.00- Opening by President Micky
    12.05-12.25- The Saw Doctors
    12.40-13.00- The Blades
    13.15-13.35- Hamsandwich
    13.55-14.15- Aslan
    14.30- 14.50- Mundy
14.55- 15.25- Sharon Shannon with the Chieftens
    15.30-15.40- Boomtown Rats
    15.40-16.00- Kodaline
    16.15- 16.35- Damien Dempsey/Mick Flannery/Glen Hansard
    16.50- 17.10- The Coronas
    17.25- 17.45- The Stunning
    18.00-18.20- Horslips
    18.40-18.50- Villagers
    18.55-19.10- Christy Moore
    19.15- 19.45- Picture This
    20.05-20.25- The Script
    21.00-21.40- U2
21.40-22.30- Dubliners/Crandberries and irish music celebration featuring Glen Hansard, Damien Dempsey, Imelda May, Mary Black, Shane Mcgowen and the pogues among others

it would be a good laugh and no doubt the Ole Ole brigade would be out in force. It would of been so good in the 80s/90s with Thin Lizzy, Rory Gallagher, Joe Dolan etc

Unfortunately most of the dubliners are gone to the great pub in the sky at this stage.

    U2 would be headliners surely?

And Bring Asian up to around 6 pm on the schedule.

I think Aslan would top the bill if it was a local concert for locals of dubalin town

There's a very succesful Irish band missing there.

I'd be telling people Don't Go.

Agreed, the man was born in Limerick and we need the odd scintillating electronica for the rubbered face brigade. :)

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

    I would like to add:

    My Bloody Valentine
    Van Morrison
    Stiff Little Fingers
    Aphex Twin (Of Course)
    Solar Bears
    Lakker
    King Kong Company
    Attention Bebe
    Mother DJs
    Neil Flynn

So rakes of electronica for the dance stage and some noise punk rock. :)
