Advice on Delayed Medical Report

    Hi all,

Can someone please give me some advice?

I had an appointment with a private consultant early March 2018 re potential repeat back surgery/pain management. A report was sent out to me shortly afterwards but was incomplete. They needed to retrieve a 2012 MRI disc from a clinic in Dublin to compare to the 2018 one and then report back. I understand that that can take some time but got confirmation early June that they had finally retrieved it.

I am still waiting on this finalised report. I have followed up numerous times with phone calls. I have some evidence in the form of email (offering the 2012 MRI disc that I managed to personally retrieve on May 30th but never did receive a reply)

Every time I call the office I am put through to the three different secretaries that keep fobbing me off with excuses such as Mr X is a busy man, he is was on annual leave, the systems to upload the MRI are down, if it was urgent he would be looking into it etc

I do not wish to speak with these people again as my last conversation (which I admit I was quite abrupt) over a week ago has yet again fallen on deaf ears.

I cannot again be told they will call me back tomorrow.

Do I have any recourse at all?

I went private and the appointment cost me 300.

Ideally I want a refund, retrieve my MRI discs and make appointment to see another consultant.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thank you
