Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Value of a bmw

    Hi just wanted to get a ballpark value of a 1998 bmw 318is 1.6 petrol coupe, no rust pmo been garaged for two years . Cheers .

    It's very hard to say based on that limited info. It's a 1.9l, not 1.6l engine BTW

    I presume it has no current NCT as it has been sitting up. The year is between a rock and a hard place. Still another 10 years to go on the high tax before it turns vintage, and it might not be that easy to get it on relatively cheap classic insurance as a second car (forget about insuring it as your first car). If it is in good cosmetic condition (but not mint) with no huge miles then maybe €300-€400. Probably a future classic.

    If I had storage, I would buy it at that price. If you have one to sell, reconsider keeping it!
