Door Handle Questions

We're renting a house at the moment and have 2 separate door handle problems in the last week that I really don't know a lot about. Someone here might be able to point us in the right direction:

    1. The front door handle has looked like it's been buckling slowly causing a gap between the handle and door on the outside (e.g. it's not sitting flush with the door). Last week, the tesco delivery driver was leaving and pulled the door closed and the handle part came off. It'll still grab the inside bar and open the door on the inside, but it's just sitting there loose at the moment and any pulling will pull it off. Lock etc is working fine, just the handle that's not as it should be. Is it just a matter of replacing the door handle? Is there any measurement I'd need before buying it?

    2. Yesterday on the sliding patio door leading out to the garden, the little arm that you move up and down to "secure" the door in place before locking it snapped off on the inside. The outside arm is still working, so we're just using this for the time being and walking around to the front of the house. Same as above - can we just buy a replacement or are there particular handles we might need from whatever brand the door might be? E.g. could we just buy this and assume it would fit - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sparta-Handles-fastness-mechanical-longevity/dp/B00AMGL150/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1532361375&sr=8-2&keywords=sliding+patio+door+handle

    Hi folks,
I am planning to replace my front door handle.

The lever on the inside is offset vertically versus the lever on the outside. I am fine with this but I’m having difficulty finding a replacement. I don’t know how to describe this for my Internet search.

I want to have identical levers on the inside and outside. I don’t like that short lever that’s currently on the outside. It is hard to use.

While I’m at it I’m also going to replace the barrel with the thumb turn on the inside and also have it flush with the face plate of the lock for security.

any expert advice is appreciated to select the new handles the new barrel and also the description of them for searching on the Internet.

    Thanks folks
