Just bought a 2014 Mazda 6, 2.2l diesel. Would it have a timing belt or timing chain and what mileage would it need to be changed at? Thanks in advance

    Mazda 6 diesel?
Avoid avoid avoid at all costs.

The diesel engines on those are soft and they all go.

    The petrols are much better

Why can't you ask your local Mazda dealer about this and then ask the garage where you bought it if it has been done?

Most Mazda timing chains last the life of the engine and do not need replacing, check with your local Mazda dealer

Timing chain, so just keep the oil changes regular and it should never need doing.
