For some reason today my RTE is breaking up slightly. Any advice on how to solve this?

    Thanks

Could be interference from somewhere else: are you on the south coast?

What kind of aerial do you have? (Set-top, attic, outdoor.)

I'm on the south west coast.

Attic aerial. Seems strange it's only RTE 2 affected

TV3 & TG4 should be affected too. RTE1 is carried on a different frequency.

Problem could be interference due to atmospheric conditions causing signals from distant transmitters to travel further, & these conditions could hang around down there for the next week or so.

Or it could be something completely unrelated, like accidental damage to a cable or connection, & RTE2's frequency just happens to be affected more.
