    Hello.
Looking to go about purchasing a new Honda quad under finance.
Can anyone recommend a good dealer with good aftercare service.
I’m in the Clare area but willing to travel for the right attitude and service.
    Thanks

Plenty of good dealers but are you sure it’s really a Honda you want. Hondas were super bikes up to about 2010 but have really gone to shyte since. Very light duty now with zero towing ability, earlier models were bullet proof. 2000 hrs they’re toast.

Changed to Suzuki here and no comparison. Made to the spec of the older Honda with a low box to boot. I’d recommended you have a look, really great simple machines and will out last Hondas by years

Well I was thinking Honda cause as you said they had a good name. That has changed since I guess.

I’ll check the Suzuki out thanks, what year did you buy?

I had a Suzuki 750 and it gave plenty of trouble from day1

Bought a new honda foreman 500 in march. Replacing an older 500. Couldnt be happier with it and it gets a good bit of work.

750 must be some beast. Anyone else have opinions on the best quad manufacturer?

The Honda 420 is what I was going for but I did hear the new ones aren’t as good. Old ones were bulletproof

Did you replace it with a different brand?

We replaced our 400 Honda for a Suzuki couple of years ago. It lasted a year. I hated it from the second I brought it home. Changed back to a 500 Honda 2 years ago. They aren’t amazing to pull but overall much better than the Suzuki. But like other machines like cars, tractors etc some people just prefer a certain make and won’t change when they have a good experience with a brand.

A beast all right. Made for big Americans to drive up mountain at sixty mph. Not for working on an Irish farm. Constantly overheating

Yeah that’s it, some people like certain brands for different reasons.
Wonder is the 500 worth getting over the 420. Never know when you’d be pulling heavy.

Went back to a Honda. I do take the point that they are not the machine they used to be either but I still think it’s a lot better than Suzuki. The old 450 Honda were the benchmark

    Ah I see.
Same could be said for a lot of things like Toyota and stuff.

Have you a good trial of the Yamaha’s?

Yes, have two of them and know others using them. Well built and simple robust transmission.

That’s great to hear. Are there different models as in grizzly and Kodiak?
