Garda vetting for teaching english abroad

So I am moving to Thailand soon to teach english for a year to kids

I was told I need clearance from my home country to show I have not been arrested etc- I got my Garda clearance letter saying I have not committed any crimes

I spoke to the Garda and she said I may need to contact Garda vetting and they said if working with kids I need to fill out the sar form 20 which releases any data they may have on me-

I get a letter back stating there is nothing for them to provide and that I should be looking at Garda vetting -

I then go on to the garda vetting website and it states I can only get Garda vetted if a company is requesting it- not an individual.

So really all I can get is a clearance letter which i think will be fine- has anyone had to deal with this before and was a clearance enough?I do not have a job yet over there

I used to work in China, and as part of the visa requirements I needed a Garda paper saying I haven't committed any crimes.

I am almost certain your Garda clearance letter will be enough, as this part of the visa process is usually a tick the box affair.

I would just scan and send it to your employer, and ask if this is ok.
