I have recently become the proud owner of a 25L drum of contaminated diesel.
    79.5%diesel, 20% kero and 0.5%muck

    any possible use for this?

or will I just have to pay to bring it to the local ammienty centre (was called a dump in my day)

I actually want to keep the drum, as they are handy to have.

It'd do in an old tractor as long as ya strain the sh1te out as best you can.

If you keep the drum well shook up and only add a bit as you need it it'll stop the mix separating as much in the tractor diesel tank. Makes for easier starting in the winter too. You can always dilute it further by adding a bit of green to the mix.

I don't have a tractor, and there is a lot of muck in it.
I poured some into another container, and used some white paper towels as a filter.
It was only a small amount, but the paper was pure filth afterwards.

    No good to me so.

I'd say bring it to recycling. It'd be of limited use as fuel as it could do more damage than good for the sake of 20 quid..

I'm sure if you mention it on the farming chit chat thread some cork farmer would bring their own drum and take it off your hands or indeed give ya a few pound for it.

Central heating boiler? You'd want to strain the crap out though,

25 litres of agri diesel costs about €17, any farmer would want their head examined to put a can of god knows what into their tractor for the sake of saving themselves €17!, if you can strain most of the crap out of it you could add it to a tank if home heating oil, should be well diluted in a 1000 litre tank!

Yes home heating tank would be perfect for it

An old tractor will run on pretty much anything so no a farmer wouldn't need a head examination for putting a drum of road diesel/kero mix into say for example their old yard scraper tractor.

That's what it came out of.

It's the dregs from the bottom of the oil tank.

Any garage would most likely dispose of it for you in their waste oil.

Some garages also have an old boiler that burns the oil too so they may be happy to get this.
