High Court Order being ignored by Defendant.

As briefly as possible, Judge ruled in favour of Plaintiff. He awarded €X in compensation but held Plaintiff a substantial % responsible. Judge told barristers for both sides to do their sums, draw up an agreement and return to his court to be rubber-stamped. Judge approved the settlement in Jan '17.

Defendant appealed and submitted same two days after the time limit. Since then the Defendant hasn't requested from the courts a date for the Appeal to be heard.

Plaintiff's solicitor has revealed he's been informed by the Defendant's solicitor that the settlement will be paid over by the end of the week. The Plaintiff has been told the same old story again and again for the past several months.

How can this be allowed to happen? How can the process be held in limbo by a Defendant who has no intention of making payment? Surely there's some way the Plaintiff, if not his too-easy-going solicitor, can bring this matter to a head?

Plaintiff should discuss with his/her own solicitor
