    Hi all

Going to view these 2 cars tomorrow.. any recommendations which one to go for?

Both are 2L diesel and have NCT although the captiva has a longer one by 9 months.

Both similar mileage and same price. Just bit worried about the Chevrolet reputation. Would Hyundai be better? Captiva to me looks the better looking motor but I know its all about the engine etc

    Any recommendations would be great

The captiva has bits of the Santa Fe in it and Opel bits too. The Opel Antara is basically the same machine.
The Tucson is more popular so if you need parts or work done on it then you would have an easier time.

What Santa Fe bits are in a Captiva?

Half the engine, clutch kit and some other bits and bobs.
    Put together by Daewoo.
I had one for a while.

So is it the old 2.0 VM engine Hyundai used to use on the original Santa Fe?

Not 100% sure but when I got work done on it, Santa Fe parts had to be used.

I’m not sure I’d buy either of them tbh, probably the Tucson if you’d asked me 5 years ago, but I’d imagine most of them are on borrowed time at this stage.
