I dont know if this applies to VM here in Ireland or not but just a heads up if it does. I get a regular email from Freeview.co.uk as we get the Freeview channels from NI and the following was contained in an email I received earlier today.
Spare a Thought for Virgin Media Customers

This weekend, TV channels Dave, Really, Home, Yesterday and Drama will disappear from Virgin Media. But for Freeview viewers, it's time to relax and enjoy a wonderful weekend of TV. That's right, Freeview still has access to all those great channels.

Probably. Syfy channel was available until recently and now is a subscription only channel.

Wasn't SyFy always a subscription channel?

Syfy has nothing to do with UKTV (it's owned by NBC Universal) and has always been a subscription channel
