Regression litigation by minor

    I know that legally a minor when they reach 18 years old can then take a case that happened to them when they were younger against the other party. How long does that option serve them.

    In theory the limitation period starts when they turn 18. That means the cause of action can be considered to occur on their 18th birthday for the purposes of the Statute of Limitations. The courts however retain a discretion to refuse claims which are technically within time, if they happened so long ago that it would be unfair on the Defendant to proceed.
