So it's time to shed a few pounds and improve my fitness. I'm a guy who has never set foot inside a gym or done anything in the way of exercise and im really apprehensive.

I've joined on a month to month basis and my question is around gym gear. I haven't a clue what I need to get in terms of gear and footwear.

I'm on a tight budget so what would I get away with getting to start me off without looking like a wally

T-shirt, tracksuit bottoms, runners. Can't go wrong.

Yesterday I had a tshirt from Penneys, shorts from SportsDirect and shoes from Aldi.

You wont look like a wally with any t-shirt, trackies/shorts or runners.

If anyone somehow thought you looked like a wally, they're a f*cking moron.

    Be comfortable.

Ya forgot the water bottle guys!!

I prefer shorts over tracksuit bottoms, just be sure to cover up the left and right barn door :D

Gymshark are setting up a pop up shop in Dublin this weekend. If you avoid it and wear TK Maxx's and Penneys' finest like the majority of us normal gym goers, you'll be fine

Who gives a fcuk what you look like. You taper there for you, nobody else.
Get yourself into penny’s, training tops from €4. Shorts or bottoms and runners. 2 kits could be got for less than 30.
