    Hi all,
looking for advice. Have just started on job seekers benefit and was hoping to start my own thing and apply for the Short Term Enterprise Allowance . I went for the meeting and straight away it was a flat oh it's less than 5 years since you finished the back to work enterprise allowance so you aren't entitled to that but you can still carry on with your business. How can I ? First off I have a group information session and then they said that will probably be followed by a meeting with a case officer. You have to be seeking work so how can I carry on with a business when that would entail registering as self employed but on the other hand I'd be searching for work, not able to fully dedicate to the business, having meetings with intreo where I also have to take public transport to get to said meetings as I have no car. Feeling frustrated , also where did the figure of 5 years come from ? It doesnt say anything about that on their website , which it seems they should so as to avoid wasting peoples time and money :/
