Shopping rolling around in estate boot

We have a Toyota Auris Tourer, which has great luggage space, but when you’ve just a few items, this is a disadvantage, as they slide right in, fall over, etc. Sometimes we have to practically climb inside to retrieve oranges, tins of beans, cabbages, you name it!

Anyone have any tips or know of gadgets that might help with this? We can easily get a plastic bin or something, but is there something available for example that can wall off the last half metre or so of space?

Car boot organiser. Halfords, ebay - even Lidl or Aldi specials from time to time.

Elasticish net yoke hooked onto lashing points. Great job. Have one off a Skoda.

Are you sure there's nothing built into the boot itself that will work? I know some estates have inbuilt cords on the side so you can slide items into it, or have parts of the flooring that slide/flip up partitioning it into smaller subsections.

Can you lie the bags flat? That's what I do as I only ever have 2-3 bags of shopping. Saves them tipping over for the most part. I've thought about getting one of those bungie type nets for the hook points though.

There are OEM vertical and horizontal cargo nets available for the Auris Touring Sport. Check with your dealer, or check online if you can find them cheaper in the UK.

The straps are good for wine too:

get a large rectangular tub (tesco/b&q/the range/goodies etc)

when you go shopping, put that in your trolley, and use that as your bag.

Those stay hold things look great. Transporting cake in the car is a nightmare, they look like they'd sort out some of my cake getting ruined during transport problems.

If you buy enough cake, they’ll deliver it.
