Mk5 Golf led parking bulbs

    Hi all,
I bought a set of Osram led W5W bulbs for my parking lights. (28880CW-02B)
I replace the old 5w5 bulbs with these new Osrams. The bulb lights for about 3 seconds and then goes off not lighting up again until the ignition is restarted.
I've tried the bulb both ways, as in turning it 180 but no good. Bulbs are secure and not loose.

    It's a MK5 '08 Golf R32 (xenon headlights)
    Have I the wrong bulbs?
Do I need something else with the bulbs?
Is there an alternative to the above bulbs for a led like bright white?
I know LEDs can be finicky and poor quality but I assumed that would not be an issue with Osram so I can only figure it's something else.

    Thanks in advance.
