Could somebody tell me where to claim expenses in employment (not flat rate expenses) in the form 12 on My Account, please?

I'm a bit dyslexic so chances are it's been staring me in the face...

    Muchly thanks!

    E.

Flat rate expenses are the same thing as expenses in employment if you're a PAYE employee, generally... what kind of expenses are you claiming? What are they for and what do you do?

Not quite... Flat rate expenses are granted as a credit regardless of whether anything was incurred or not, based on ones occupation....so, for example, a hospital consultant gets €695 regardless of whether the spent the €695 or not.
What I mean are one-off wholly, exclusively and necessarily incurred (so the question of allowability does not arise) and are far in excess of the flat rate granted for the employment concerned. They would be included on the second PAYE page of a Form 11 as "Allowable Deductions Incurred in Employment". As far as I can see, I'll have to contact the district to get credit, which seems a pain in the ar$e because otherwise My Account seems to work promptly and efficiently.
