    Hi folks ,
    Im going to view a 2008 is220d later in the week , is there anything i should look out for in this , it has just over 200k km on it . Just through the nct . Thanks in advance.

    I wouldn't would be my advice.

    That diesel engine is not known for being reliable, they suffer from head gasket failure and EGR valve failure. That and the gearing is all wrong making 6th gear almost redundant.

    Oh really , maybe a honda accord 2.2ictdi would be a better option , thats the other car i was thinking about ?

    I owned one, it was meh ! As Bazz26 indicated the EGR valve was an issue for me and the car went into limp mode on several occasions. I purchased a BMW 320 coupe after it and it was night and day.

    I'd have no interest in Lexus again.

    An Accord would definitely be a wiser purchase imo. Try and get the newer type model.
