    Battery in the roof doesn't seem like a good idea. It raises the centre of gravity considerably (and thus the instability of the bus)

    Most of the batteries seem to be underneath at the rear though. I'm sure they know about this. CNG and hydrogen buses often have their tanks on top as well - sure the fuel wouldn't weigh as much, but the containment vessels for these gases aren't exactly light.
