    I passed my B test 20+yrs ago

Thinking of doing E+B , car and trailer.

    A few questions,
    1) Will I need to do any theory tests ?

    2) Will I need to do any compulsory lessons?

    3) if I do E+B in an auto, will i be restricted to using an auto while towing

    Thanks

    1) Yes. You have not completed a theory test in the past so need to now. I got my hands on the CD ROM version of the book at the time and kept doing practice tests. Its easy enough.

    2) I did not have to. There was a rumour that this was to change in 2015 (I did ny test in 2014) but I think ot was only a rumour. I would contact the rsa helpline if I were you.

    3) Yes as far as I know. It is a full driving test again. Same rules apply iirc. If you have an auto get yourself a manual for the test.

Thanks, I drive an auto, but the car with a hitch is a manual.
I can get a loan of a horse box, my provisional for E+b/c/d expired just over 5yrs ago

I've no interest in doing an E+C, but i though having a EB might be a handy addition to ABCD
