    Hey

    Looking for advise
Ford fiesta 2012 from wiper doesn't work when trying to use the washer.
The wipers work when not trying to activate the washer and the back works perfectly

So just to be clear? you can turn on the wipers as normal, just they don’t come on with the windscreen washer?

Do the wipers work on intermittent, normal speed, high speed etc?

So no water coming out of the washer?

Can you hear the washer pump try to engage? If you can it's likely a blockage in the nozzles on the bonnet where spray comes out or the hoses underneath bonnet have disconnected, a needle might unblock.

Clean the nozzles with a needle. Failing that trace back the hose from the nozzle, on some cars there is a valve that operates left and right where it breaks into two parts. Disconnect that and get someone to try the water again and see if any comes out the hose itself. If so you can get a valve from a scrappy handy enough.

But if the pump isn’t making noise then the pump isn’t working.

Apologies misread what he said. Thought he said he could hear it.

If both the wipers and the washer are not working it sounds like a switch problem.

Sounds like the wipers actually work. OP is very unclear.

The wipers do work when I turn them on but if I want the front washer to work nothing happens where as before when I pressed the front washer the water came out and the wiper worked at the same time
    Hope that is clearer

    Cheers

Does the rear window washer work?

I very well may be wrong here, but as far as I know, that model Fiesta uses the same pump for the front and back windows (motor just turns in opposite direction to do rear screen) which -along with the fact that the wipe function isn’t working when the front wash is avtivated - would lead me to think that the wiper stalk is at fault,

    Open to correction obviously.
