    Nah seriously they rust over in a few days if idle...be the last thing I’d be worried about.

    After a drive with some braking involved the disc will return to normal.

    But even the part that holds in the pads seems a bit rusty? Surely that can't clean itself?

    Brake calipers often come uncoated/unpainted and so rust fairly easily, doesn't affect operation, just cosmetic.
