So the missus is stuck at a rapid on the way back from Dublin, ecars have a nationwide outage, not a charger working in the country.
Not much we can do I suppose, I phoned ecars and they said it was a phone coverage issue, don’t know when it will be resolved.
If anyone is stuck in Athlone please PM me and they can get a charge at our place....

Lad must be mad with this level of helpful contribution.

OP - this shows the impact of a total outage. In the UK the network is set to "Free Vend" in an outage.

Hope you got home ok in the end.

Wow that’s crazy - I agree that surely the system should just let all machines open for use if they have a glitch like this?

She got a granny charge at the Enfield service station shop and got home at 5:30am

Very very lucky she had the granny cable in the car in that case.
    Wow.

Think we all got it but not the right time to post it when your other half is a lone driver at 2AM plus low on battery and no ecars support

It was down from 8pm yesterday apparently?

I'd say most of us regulars did :)

slave1 was probably too tired / stressed out last night that he didn't get it. Glad your missus made it home safe, man!

Edit - he beat me to it!

    +1

I keep the granny cable in it’s bag in the boot at all times too.

+1, public cable in bag and granny under the spare, first time in 17months we've had to rely on it.
Fair dues to Applegreen shop at Enfield Services for letting her charge, she pulled up to hatch and fed the cable through.

If it was me I'd have phoned breakdown and gone for a flatbed home

Does anyone know if this is resolved? ecars site shows all back to normal.. Car is currently parked in the airport, due back tomorrow and planning a trip west; if the chargers are still down same can be postponed. TIA.

Edit: FYI, got through to Ecars on an 021 number, things back to normal, apparently Vodafone SIM cards were the issue.
