    Hi Folks

Giving serious consideration to getting one of these as my next motor - I think they are a stunning looking motor.
Only worry I have was previous generations were a disaster in diesel form?
What is the current model like in that regard? Sorted, or still dodgy??

    Thanks in advance.

Don't think there's been any real change to the 2.2d engine since the Mazda 6 (current model) was launched, and the majority have been just as bad, or worse than the previous disasters.

You may be lucky - there's a few people who haven't had issues, but majority have had major issues.

A lot of diesels have issues. Look at bmw, probably had more issues than most manufacturers but people still rush out and buy them,. I've 2.2 diesel in Mazda 3. I really like it had no issues in 2.5 years.
Some manufacturers get labelled with something and they can't shift it, others can be junk but people will ignore that and buy just to impress the neighbours.

I've had one and had issues, mind you it was a 141 reg. I've got rid of it since.
