    Bugger

So, the outer door handle wasn't opening the door and then the electric window switch disappeared into the door, so I took the inner card off and attempted to sort out the issue.
As a result of my efforts I now have a back door that is closed and neither handle inside or out will open it.
The central locking still works, but neither cable is hooked up.

My local garage tells me they'll have to tear off the existing door card, make the repair to the lock then it'll up to me to replace the door card.

    Anyone got a better idea?

    Thanks

How did the outside cable become disconnected if you only removed the door card?

Did you unplug the door lock when you had the door card off?

EDIT sorry I misread your post first time and missed the part about the outer door handle not working prior to you removing the door card.

It is possible to open the door from the outside without doing any damage. Where are you located?

Nope, it's no going to open from the interior or exterior handles.
I may try going in from the hinge side and use a wire to pull the lock cable, a small enough hole could be made and filled afterwards.
