Asking on behalf of a friend....

If someone is requested to attend an Individual Activation meeting with the Social Welfare, and they ignore the correspondence, and don't attend the meeting, etc, as requested, what happens to their payment?

    Thank you.

SW would assume that the person was no longer contactable at that address and as that would disqualify the person from entitlement to a payment they would suspend the persons payment immediately until the person makes contact with them.

their payment will be reduced or cut off. best thing to do is just show up, there is no need to be anxious about it. they can't force you into anything, they can make you jump through silly hoops like Jobpath but that crowd also cannot force you to do anything you arent comfortable with. it's not a big deal to just attend vs being cut off, but some people get worked up about it. it's just a box ticking exercise really.
