10 Claas Celtis - clutch slipping under load

So one evening I was pulling a bale trailer with 11 first cuts bales up on it. So when I went to pull it something seemed wrong but didnt take any notice of it until I got out onto the road and had to face a few hills. The tractor barely made it up home crawling like. So as I went to change gears to speed up the engine would continue to rev for a good bit until eventually the gear engaging.

Like we have a Ursus 4512 and she pulled 7 bales up the same route no problem with a smaller trailer. Like this Claas is 96 hp with the turbo so it should be no problem for it. Now the clutch on this tractor is not self adjusting so I checked it and found it to be outside the limits for free play in the clutch, its meant to lie between 15-45mm, it has since been adjusted and has play of about 25mm but still at times it slips by just pulling itself.

Like we only have this tractor and loader 2 years with 3590 hrs.. any ideas??

3500 hrs would be a good return on that setup to be fair. I have a tl90 here with the same has just had one at 3300 hours.

The wrong operator could destroy s new clutch in an afternoon.
You have it 2 years, who knows what kind of abuse it got beforehand.

I agree with Grueller. 3500 hours is decent for a dry clutch in a tractor with a loader. Get itooked at quickly as you might be doing more damage to fly wheel etc.

Any idea lads on what it costs to replace a clutch including labour and the part itself?

replacing a clutch would not be a specialised job but a garage could easily charge €1500 all in .Might be an option to get a local mechanic to get a price preferable someone who would know their way around a claas ,sometimes you can fit heavier duty disc in the clutch kits ,ring around a few garages!!!!

I'm not sure, but I think the Celtis clutch only comes as a full kit with the clutch cover and pressure plate etc already assembled.
Online prices run about 650 plus the VAT.

Is it the same as the Renault Termis setup, does anyone know?
That was very similar to the Fiat 110-90.
