The sprints have been kind of predictable so far. Hopefully someone other than Sagan can win today but the finish looks like it was made with him in mind.

Any idea of the elevation gain for today? It looks like a stage which has a surprisingly high amount

    What's the bonus point?

Felt the same when I was reviewing the programme. Could be one for Dan but have a feeling he has some unfinished business with Mur De Bretagne tomorrow

Sagan or de gendt for today.
Think de gendt has designs in the mountains jersey, so can make a start on it

Listening to Smith list Benoot's injuries there, ouch!!!!!!!!!

He's going to struggle to sleep for a few weeks...
According to a statement by Lotto-Soudal, Benoot suffered “a second degree dislocation of the AC joint in his right shoulder, a bruise of the ribs, the right shoulder blade and left wrist, he has abrasions on his hips, back, arms and legs and cuts at his right eyebrow and the back of his head.”

Robert Kiserlovski (Katusha-Alpecin) quits the Tour. He's injured in crash after only a few kms

One thing that bugs me about TV coverage is that the 'clock' always shows Kms to go, however the maps/profiles show climbs/sprints etc. by distance elapsed so I'm trying to do arithmetic. Elapsed distance in brackets please!

It's one thing I've heard Kirby grumble about too actually.

you'd have to think Sam is a bit miffed not to have been picked seeing how well Gaviria is doing, having beaten him a few times in the Giro.

When does his contract run out with Bora, unlikely to get to ride in Tour while Sagan is around?

did Gaviria not beat Sam in all of the sprints last year? are you thinking of Viviani from this year?

yeah ignore me, mixing up my quickstep sprinters

If anyone is miffed at not been chosen to ride ahead of Sagan then they need a reality check.

    Indeed !

I've discovered since that on the official site

    https://racecenter.letour.fr/#/stageprofile

If you click on the climbs sprints it will tell how far from the finish.

Dan is lurking here from the looks of it.

Didn't realise Dan finished 6th until I saw the stage results.

Love to see Sagan's power readings on that climb. Dan looked comfortable and tomorrow should see him challenge Valverdi and Alaphilippe for the win. Gilbert looks to be in great shape too.

Not exactly hard to predict today's result.
