Silage - any point spreading fertilizer?

Silage in today and very light. Looks like we’ll have to cut a few more fields before the end of the Summer. Any point spreading fertilizer with very little rain on the horizon over the next week?

Without much rain (2mm due on Sunday), the nitrogen will go to waste I’m guessing.

    Any advice?

We had a decent dew this morning, first I’ve seen in weeks, if it were there every morning it would certainly help things along.

Honestly I’d be looking at it from the perspective of how badly stuck you may be and how much risk you want to take. If I were stuck I’d be thinking along the lines of spreading some in the hope it got active and started grass, you could top it up if growing conditions return.

There’s no easy answer at the moment.

No nitrogen going out there at the moment..
