    Hi anyone give some advice my partner n I are thinking off moving in together but only problem is we are on two different social welfare payments I’m on jobseekers transition and he is on jobseekers, only problem is will my rent supplement be stopped if we both get our moneys put together? Or will payment rent supplement be completely stopped? Was with social but they cudnt say for definite

    Gosh Nine Two Team. Surely everyone knows up front by now that moving in together means their income will be cut, but I don't think that will effect the Rent Supplement.

    There’s a family rate of JSA NinetyTwoTeam. It’s not a secret and it’s not sly or underhand as you seem to imply.

    We are very lucky to live in a country where there is a safety net for people who find themselves in a position where they can’t meet the basics. It’s among the most generous in the whole of Europe.
    There’s no such thing as SW staff hiding information, deliberately trying to deceive people or breaking the law to give claimants less benefits/Allowance then they are actually entitled to.
    If this is your experience then you have a right to follow the complaints procedure and then take it to the Ombudsman.
