How to value a rare-ish vehicle

As per the title I am looking to change my vehicle as I need something larger for work. I have had a look on all the usual sites but can’t seem to find a single other one for sale in Ireland to compare prices.

Maybe there are some boardsies that are in the trade or similar that might help with a valuation? It’s 131 with full service history, I had it wrapped in Matt black from the original pepper white to match company colours. 68000km on the clock. It has the John Cooper kit fitted which includes the larger alloys, slightly different body kit and variable colour internal lighting.

I can see some in the UK with similar mileage for between £8500 and £11000

In my head I was hoping to get around €10k private sale and maybe slightly less on a trade?

It’s great fun to drive and gets a LOT of attention with the wrap and the branding on top of that (wasn’t added when these photos were taken)

    Are you VAT registered?

Yes but on advice from my accountant I bought the mini myself and I claim expenses and mileage etc rather than having the company buy the vehicle and pay reduced bik.

Trying to guess the trade, are you a funeral director?

Back to the question, would it sell better without the wrap?

The guys who wrapped it have said it’s no problem to remove the wrap and the bonus is that the bodywork is in superb condition.

I will list it for sale with photos of it before and after the wrap so any buyer has the option of both.

I think the wrap would be off putting, can't see much of a market for it to be honest. I do think your in the right ball park with 8.5 - 10k

I think it would sell easier with the wrap off.

Thanks for the replies. I have photos of it from before it was wrapped and so I’ll advertise it as is but post pictures of before and after and offer to have the wrap taken off prior to any purchase.

I had a Clubman Cooper S when it came out in 2007 so I like the model.

Issues I see for you is that there’s an extremely limited leisure/personal market for it and the fact that it won’t be sold with VAT recoverable will impede the commercial marketability.

Absolutely agree Marcus. I think a trade might be my only option. Meeting my accountant on Monday to discuss a few options for the next vehicle and vat etc.
Just thought I would get more back out of it selling privately but I may have to take the hit on a trade in. Thanks

the wrap might put people off, there is always a chance of the wrap pull a load of paint or top coat off with it while removing
