    Hi guys,

I was looking to buy a hybrid/electric car as my commute is about to increase dramatically.
Full electric is out for the moment, due to my rented accommodation's facilities, so I was looking at a hybrid.

The Honda Jazz seems quiet cheap as a second hand (131 - 142 reg).
Is there any issues with these that I should watch out for?
Does anyone have any info on them?

Thanks in advance for any info.

What distance is your commute, and have you spoken to the landlord to completely rule out putting in a charger?

i have one, 11 reg, have for 2 years, 70k done so far.
oil has to be changed every 10k km, cvt fluid gets a full change every 40k km(€50 for 5 ltrs), sparks are at 100k km, can be expensive if you get the original ones, 40 a pop, but the oem ones are 20 and theres 8 in the engine, takes a few hours to change.

part from that, theirs ok power and torque in higher revs, gettting it to drive in ev mode only takes some practice as it requires a light touch.

the cvt gearbox takes a bit to get use to.

driving at motorway speeds ive gotten 5.4 - 5.6l per 100km, im averaging 5.35l/100km.
if you keep it under 100kmh you get much better, 4.5ish.

the reflection on the dash in the windscreen on sunny-days can be annoying, and the fuel tank is 45 liters, but its an odd shape and the fuel warning light will come on at around 30l used.

ive been getting about 600km per tank, when the fuel warning light comes on, recently with the ac on so its not bad.

easy to drive, no faults yes, 130 k km on the clock in total and no issues.
