Casual hours and JSA

    Hi there,

I have just finished college and got switched from BTEA to JSA to casual as I am working part time. I was under the impression that with casual there was a deduction for each day you worked regardless of the hours so its better to work one 9 hour shift than three 3 hour shifts.

However, a friend told me that its now better to work the three 3 hour shifts as they allow the first 20 euro earned per day to be "free" from their benefits reduction and you lost 60% of the rest of the money.

Basically, I am wondering if its better to work one 8/9 hour shift or three 3 hour shifts. My boss is okay with either.

    Thanks
