Hi everyone, sorry if this is in wrong forum, feel free to move. Just wondering can you reccommend a really good shed paint for longevity and wood protection? For the past years we ve just used Ronseals 1 coat Medium Oak..but basically its useless for us.. we live on an exposed windy site..it needs re painting by early Spring. So we want to put something on that'll last a few years and protect the wood. We ve heard of Ronseal 5 years? Seekins? Tecknos? Can anyone reccommend one of these or any thing else form their experience? Many thanks.

The best I know of is Owatrol Textrol but its a wood finish not a paint. Very expensive and still needs biannual retreating in exposed locations. The real plus to it is the preparation. A quick hose down or very light pressure wash allow to dry and you can recoat over the wood as it is absorbed into the wood.

Anything oil based rather than water based would have better longevity.
Oil based paints will advise cleaning brushes with white spirit as opposed to soapy water if you need to spot the difference.
