Mondeo 6000CD - does it play mp3 discs?

    Hi,

    I've got a 2013 Mondeo with a 6000CM stereo in it. The manual says it plays mp3 CDs, and it even has the 'folder up' and 'folder down' buttons on it, but it just gives the 'CD error' every time a data disc is put in it. It plays CDRs with CD audio tracks burned to them without a problem.

    Does it just not play mp3 CDs, or am I missing something?

    P.S. I had a Focus with the Sony head unit, and it played mp3 CDs no problem, but the same CDs won't work in the Modeo.
