Pre-purchase inspection in Ireland

Do any people on here use pre-purchase inspection companies to check out used cars in Ireland?

Are there any recommended ones? Independent mechanic or Company

Many do, yes.
Where in Ireland? No point in giving you Galway based places if car you are in buying is in Waterford.

Dublin maybe Wicklow for the most part. Might go up north but for what I'm looking for there seems to be very little in the way of savings when VRT is taken into account.

Its quite hard to get a decent 4x4 with a 3500kg tow limit that can be crewcabbed or already is.

Thanks, will give them a go. I see they include history checks for a fee too.

Ask for a Motorcheck report or just do one yourself.... motorcheck will give you discount if you ask them before doing the check

Sorry, not quite sure I understand the above....ask carinspectionsireland to use motor check company specifically when ordering their inspection + history check

or just use motorcheck yourself as it will be cheaper than getting car inspections to do it on my behalf?

Book car inspection via carinspectionsireland but Mae sure it’s a Motorcheck history report that you get as part of the inspection
