Looking to change my 2013 Audi A6 Sline 2.0 diesel auto with 91000 miles.

To a BMW 5 series 2.0. Have my eye on a luxury model 2015 30,000 miles with a BMW dealer with 2 year warranty.

What do you think would be a fair trade in price?

You don't mention the year of the A6, mileage or if it's petro/diesel.

Either way expect to pay alot, BMW dealers will not resell that car on their forecourt, they will sell it on through the trade so expect a low trade-in price. They will want top dollar for their 5 Series too.

i would expect to pay between 32-28 k for a 520d at that milage, m sport....not sure what you would get for the A6....probably in the range of adding 20k to your a6 value...but may be wrong.

Check the sale values online is the best way to estimate it. I just bought a 142 A6 sline Avant, with 30k on the clock for 25k...felt it was a great price. Delighted with it. Have driven plenty of Beemers over the years, including the new 520 (rentals), lovely auto box in the bmw but loving the sportier feel of the audi

OP is trading up though so the important figure to focus on is the cost to change price or what they want with your A6 for the 5 Series. Don't focus on what they give you for your A6.

So it's looking like about €14,000 to trade up. Two year warranty and servicing until April 2019.

Hard to know if I should try move the Audi privately or if above represents good value.

5 Series was UK car originally and was imported so a 2 owner car already.

OP, by way of comparison I just got a low mileage 2014 518d Luxury, also AUC BMW with 2 year warranty and remainder of service pack.

Retail was €24k, cost to change with a 2011 Passat was €16k.

Based on your figures I don't think you are getting a great deal.

Another consideration is N47 v newer B47 engine, the change came in late 2014. There have been reports of the newer engine being a bit less frugal and slightly noisier. There have also been egr cooler failures though these are being dealt with under warranty. However B47 is a bit cheaper to tax and a nit more powerful.

Would a 2015 car with two owners be a concern?

One UK Owner, one Irish Owner and traded in to the Irish garage after 1.5 years in Ireland.

Probably looking at €13kish now to trade. Benefits being the Warranty, service pack, and 60k less miles. Any thoughts appreciated.

Don’t see why it would be an issue?
