    Looking for some legal advice,

I have been employed in my current position for over a year and a half and recently I got placed on a panel for employment with the HSE. Since then it has subsequently got back to my manager that I will be leaving (dont know when)as yet and my hours have been drastically cut.

I initially signed a part time contract with minimum of 25hours but for over a year I have worked at minimum full time hours. Over this week and next I have a total of 25 hours work
my question is can they legally do this and what right do I have?

Contract is for 25 hours, anything more has been a bonus and you obviously took the job based on a 25 hour contract so cant cry about it now

Is anyone else on a 25 hour contract? If so, have any had their hours cut back to 25 hours as well?

Everyone is on a part time contract apart from managers and, I am the only one with hours cut and others have had their hours increased to what seems like at my expense, This has been an on going thing for the past month or so. Also I have requested a revised contract since February as my other contract has been up since then.

I have brought it to my mangers attention who does rota before and suddenly my hours increase not by much.

If it were me, I would think about speaking to someone in the WRC for advice. But the first port of call is to talk to your manager again. Make it clear that you believe you are being singled out. Have you or do you performance reviews? If you do not get a satisfactory response from your manager, is there someone above him, in HR perhaps, that you can speak to?

However if you are leaving any way, do you want all the hassle or stress?

I take it you're not a member of a trade union?

I have spoken to my manager and supervisor on 2 separate occasions regarding being singled out and within a day the things have changed, we are a subsidiary of a hotel so there is no hr.

And as of today when I went back after speaking to my supervisor on Sunday regarding the matter, my roster was changed and was told that is was a mistake! also of I could mention to bring my wages up I am being given days holidays not at my request.

I can understand the hassle and stress but I am providing for my family and up until this I have had a excellent working relationship, going above and beyond which was noted in a performance review around Christmas.

    Perhaps it was a mistake.

With regards to annual leave an employer can assign you your leave without you requesting it, but it is subject to a months notice.
