Newbie Aerial Question

Hi everyone, sorry if this is a stupid question.

I recently cancelled sky and got a Saorview box, even though I'm 11k from the transmitter, no indoor aerial would work, so I bought one from Argos that said I could use the attic.

So I had a sky eye in the attic, I thought I could remove the UHF transmitter and plug in my aerial, but it didn't pick anything up.

But aside from that, I only want the signal to go to one room, Im not bothered with the rest, so my actual question would be, there is a aerial connection to the tv from the attic, but what would the connection look like in the attic, I can see the sky eye box has like a coaxial cable going into it, so would I need to plug my aerial into this cable?

    Thanks for the help :)
