Dacia Duster tyre pressure?

    Hi everyone looking from the manufacture sticker on the side of the door say the psi for the front and rear of my duster is 29 for front and back surely this can't be right for something or that size and wait I rember having a open Corsa back in the day and there where like 28 psi im getting terrible fuel consumption was thinking of bumping tyre pressure up but 29 as standard psi seems way to light for that type of jeep

    A Dacia duster is really just a small car raised up, it weighs the same or less than a similar year corsa so stick with the recommended pressure

    If have no qualms bumping it up to 40 psi and seeing how your efficiency improves.

    I've always had my vehicles at 50 psi.

    Efficiency will be great but the tyres will wear faster and braking will impacted by the over inflation. So you save a bit on fuel but wear the tyres faster while severely compromising safety. Good idea!

    What cars were/are you putting 50psi into? Any issues with tyre wear?

    50 psi is frankly dangerous unless the tyre is normally rated for that pressure, he's lucky one didn't blow up in his face.

    Agreed 50psi must be lethal, I ended up with 40 psi in my tyres before, still don't know how this happened.
    Everything looked fine until I tried to stop in rain coming up to a T junction for a main road and I couldn't stop.
    Went straight out on to the road before I got it to stop, turned went straight home and checked tyre pressure.
    Discovered the 40 instead of 32, Deflated and tried again and all was perfect.

    So the way the standard psi is 29 for front and back would bumping it maybe to 30 psi or 31 affect tyre wear would anyone know ?

    All the Dusters that pass through the workshop for a PDI or maintenance it's 32 psi all around

    The shell is very very light. A duster weighs circa 1100kg whereas a golf of the same year for example is more 1400kg
