We have a House Alarm Fault its a Borsh wireless system.
Anyone know would the fault be covered on your House Insurance policy, we get a discount on the policy cost for having one, but if it breaks down say due to lightning disturbance is it covered.
    Thanks in advance

Never heard of that panel but if its faulty i would say to insurer, you get a 10% discount but if your broking into they might not pay out. If you insurance was only €400 a year and you only get 10% off is it worth it with a faulty system.

If you mean can you claim to get it fixed...then maybe if you can prove it was caused by a storm...you will need to get a price from a qualified alarm technician.
Is it really worth putting a claim on your insurance if it’s fixable for under €500.

We have done systems where claims were put in for panel replacements where damaged by storms , flood , break in etc.
Always paid out no problem. But it is down to your policy & what your excess is as to whether its worth it.
