Can someone please go into some detail on construction of a 14'x10' 3 layer felt roof. I'll be using 18mm ply nailed onto 6"x2" rafters running of 4"x2" wall plates.. I wont be using joist hangers as I can't lose any height to the ceiling inside.. Just a nice secure water proof felt roof, only one gutter along one of the 14' and all with facia, should I have soffit all round or not, Also I'd like an adhesive rather than a heat on felt!?
I'm mighty handy :) so I expect to at least have wall plates, rafters and sheeting done in one day.
Maybe I'm not so clear on distance and spacing of rafters and overhanging of ply and felt.. Apparently I'll be tacking down first layer of felt and next 2 I'll be gluing, is this correct?
The ceiling inside will be completely stuffed with rock-wool and maybe finish with a nice smooth plastic cladding tacked to the plaster board(do I even need plaster board)...anyway thanks in advance,
