Multi spoke wheel cleaning

Was kind of dreading the cleaning regime on these multi spoke diamond cut wheels so bought a load of PH neutral cleaner and some (bloody expensive) Wheel Woolies.



I really shouldn't have bothered as the spokes are well placed, and access is easy. The Wollies have barely been used as am finding a standard microfibre mitt (€2 in Dealz) much easier and quicker.

BH AutoWheel and pressure washer is all you should need. No Wheel Woolies or mitts etc.

I have a set of 2 Wheel Woolies and while they're useful, they're very expensive for what they are. When I was using AutoGlym Custom Wheel Cleaner I had to do most of the work as it was crap, since I moved to Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel it does all the work. It removes 98% of the dirt without even touching it, just blast off with a pressure washer.


To be fair I can get away with not washing the inside of the rim as the spokes are fairly close on my Golf but I would have been better off spending €20 on another Microfiber Madness Incredimitt rather than €40 on the Woolies. Could even get a cheaper mitt if I wanted.

I had read that power washing could accelerate any imperfections in the diamond cut wheel and that handwashing is a more gentle way to do it? I've used BH and power washing before but as good as that is I've invariably had to go in with a mitt for that last 10% anyway.
