Havent a clue what to call it or if you call it padding or what

Basically the linining/padding has come lose, there is a u shaped metal bracket with a clip that pushes into the metal

Its just above the gap that pops out to change light bulbs

Do I just need some glue or spray on stuff to hold bracket or any ideas to stop the padding sag

Might be wrong here, but do you peel back the rubber, put the carpet in place then put the rubber back on?

I'd say from the heat the glue holding the u shaped brackets melted a bit and come away from padding

Strange to glue and not screw or tack or something better to hold the bracket onto the material

Tried the rubber and there isn't enough lip to hold the carpet

You can see where the bracket and clip have come away from the carpet compared to the next bracket/clip

Try using epoxy glue to hold the clips on.
