Jobseekers advice

I recently turned down a job and have been put back on jobseekers. I went through a month waiting to start with a company while the managers messed up and misplaced parts of my application and had a lot of trouble getting information from them that social welfare were asking for regarding start dates, first payday and whether or not the training I was getting would be paid for.

Eventually I was called for training, I was told I would be paid but was brushed off when I asked the same questions about dates. After a safety issue which was not dealt with properly, I decided to quit. There was no mention of pay from managers, I assumed that I would not be paid seeing as I did not complete the training and left it at that. I've since been back to social welfare, told them everything and they have put me back on jobseekers. Now two weeks later, I've been getting emails about impending pay cheques and a sum has shown up in my account.

I'd like to know what I should do next, how to inform social welfare about this without them thinking I'm trying to pull a fast one and having them suspend my payment. Thanks!

Just tell them what you’ve told us and make sure you get written confirmation that they’ve acknowledged that you informed them.
It’ll all work itself out after that.
