Ceramic coating on new car

Forgive any ignorance as my car knowledge is limited to knowing how to drive,

I’m picking up my new car next week and a friend of mine is insisting the first thing I do is take it to have a ceramic coating put on. Iv heard it’s very pricey but is it worth it?

The only website iv come across is ceramicpro but they’ve multiple options going from €500 up to over 2 grand. Where do people recommend going to have this applied, how long does it take to apply and how much will it cost me?

Any insight would be great, thanks

What car is it? What year is it? What's your budget? Where are you located?

It’s a 182 Seat Arona. Tbh I’m probably about 3grand over budget as is, went out to buy an ibiza, ordered an Arona instead but i taught I should look into this ceramic coating as my mate swears by it. Based in south dublin

I asked about year because since it's a new car it won't need the same amount of prep as a car a few years old.

Your options for ceramic coating are either D'Shed in Dublin 15 or Spirit Detailing in Kildare.

Thanks, any experience with either? How much would you reckon I’d be spending to have it done?

I haven't any personal experience of their work as I do all that myself but they are both top class and very reputable companies. D'Shed is owned by a user on here by the name of Curran. The beautiful orange BMW M4 on their homepage is owned by another user here and he was massively impressed by their work.

I can't give you a price as I don't know how much prep would be involved.
