Steps, steps and more steps

Anywhere in the greater Dun Laoghaire area with lots of steps? Needed for some Rocky-esque training

White rock beach to the obelisk on Killiney Hill.
Start on the beach, go straight up, when you cross over the bridge keep left , up to the road , go right and either turn into the park at the gate(red route) or continue about 100m and turn up the cats ladder(blue route)

most steps on the blue route. about 180 at the cats ladder alone. (part between vico road and torca road)

Or just go up and down the steps between white rock and the Vico

The quarry steps on Kiliney hill seem to be the steps of choice for those power walkers looking to further tighten the glutes

If you park in Killiney Hill car par, walk up the Quarry steps, down the cats ladder, turn right and then down to white rock beach, then retrace your steps, that is a hell of a lot of steps.

Killiney hill has quite a few.

White rock as mentioned. There are toilets at the top too if needed, but they are up a steep hill up from the steps (more workout). Once over bridge over the dart line the steps begin. Down the bottom is a shelter thing. You can do pullups off the overhang. And you can do palm down dips on the corner to the left of this picture.



On a sunny day this will be mobbed though, with people up on the roof. You could also bring a sand bag down to fill once there.

The steps in the picture are not what we are talking about! but might be useful.
